Remove Burlap Smell

Here is another tip for dealing with smelly burlap: You can try and use baking soda on the burlap - so cut off a small piece and dump it in a bucket of water mixed with baking soda. This may be harder for a large roll. Refer to our previous post for some more tips, including the basic one of leaving the burlap outside in the sun on a hot day and also shaking it to remove dust or other dirty particles.

Edit: the tip of washing the burlap inside a bucket of water mixed with baking soda is not one that we here at BurlapFabric.com have tried personally - it was simply recommended by a friend. As stated on this blog, DO NOT attempt to try any of this until you have tested out your methods on a small piece of the fabric.
